Wrist Innovation

Although not quite an innovation, original, handmade bracelets are quite hard to find nowadays, especially ones which could potentially stay timeless. Yet for Kasia from FancyMe!, a simple idea generated a single-handed company, which evolved and is now having their ninth collection and still growing strong. For most young Polish designers, getting a international reputation is extremely hard, as most products (even if they do get an award in Poland) will have a very small chance of receiving the same interest elsewhere. But for those wonderfully simple designs, the strong and vibrant colours and the tassels and charms which add so much to these chunky rope bracelets, I would think that even fashionistas in Milan and London could fall for. You can layer them on or just have one statement bangle, but both have an amazing appeal. Certainly one of the most important factors of the company is that it uses so many colours and material combinations. The designs are sleek and pretty, something between a seaside rope bracelet, a friendship bracelet and an expensive pendant bracelet, such as those with Murano glass. That, and the option of customization must appeal most to the clients.

In comparison to a big rival, Lilou, who make singular silver charms on coloured leather cords, this is far more intricate, and the handiwork into every bracelet has to be admired. My personal favourites are the simple mint cotton designs and the grey singular ropes, which have that particular charm of dangling lightly on your wrist…
