Lights. Such as the one seen in the fountains of Warsaw, are a key piece of all creations- it is with them that shows can be produced and shown on the runway. Incorporating them into the creations is just another fabulous step, and it can be seen in the outlandish collections of Alexander McQueen from 2010.
A long way away in the fashion world- 2010 and 2012, but this collection was one of the last shows of greatness from the fashion composer. A year later, he was found dead in his suite, without a doubt, suicide. Yet from this collection and from every other, there was a certain radiance and beauty, and it was from this that he gained his fame in the fashion world.
Other designers have tried to follow suit, but how can you truly recreate the work of a genius? It is impossible, of course, and Alexander McQueen knew that, taking his ethereal collection ideas to the grave.
From this stemmed an idea- why not incorporate electricity into the designs? And so the first light dress was created. First on a small scale, such as the light dresses by Mary Huang, then on a bigger one by companies such as the Enlighted Illuminated Dress. A trend to watch- one for the future…
