Enter Fashion Week AW12

From yesterday the Fashion Week season for A/W 2012/13 has officially begun! Starting out with shows in New York from the ninth to the sixteenth of February, followed by the shows in London from seventeenth to the twenty-first of February. From the twenty-second of February, the fashion brigade goes on to Milan, the home of all finest material craftsmanship and elegance, followed by the final of the fashion shows in the capital of couture, Paris, from the twenty-eighth of February to the seventh of March. This will finish the tour of the main fashion shows, although Tokyo and Seoul are close runners up, followed somewhat later by the Poland Fashion Week in April. I will be talking more thoroughly on the Poland one, as the possibility of attendance myself is quite high.

What shows on the catwalks in New York are you enjoying the most? I recommend BCBG Max Azria, whose collection I found simple but effective and the collections of Tadashi Shoji with flowing jewel-toned fabrics, as well as Richard Chai Love with serene stripes. I am greatly anticipating the shows of Alexander McQueen, Thakoon, Preen, Erdem and Peter Pilotto on the London catwalks, as well as Prada in Milan. What shows are you looking forward to? Hopefully, the collections will provide to be as darkly brilliant as the spring!
