Rolling through these rainy London days (yes, I am currently residing in London for my summer holiday) is one of the most enjoyable ways of spending an afternoon. Especially while doing so in the Egyptian, studded rooms of Harrods. Nothing out of the ordinary, for sure…
For me, Harrods is a clash of cultures- a massive firework display of the most dizzying mixes you can imagine. Want a trip to a French cafe but cannot afford yourself the luxury of going to Paris? Welcome to Laduree, right on your doorstep. Feel like having a rich and savoury bolognese? Cucina Toscana has exactly what you want on the lower ground of Harrods.
Oh, and may I personally present the foot-swaying, sashay-of-skirts and coke floats wonderland- Morelli’s Ice Cream Parlour. Inspired by the constantly popular look from the classic 50’s style American diners and most probably inspiring the Prada spring collection, this room of pleasures is nothing you should be denying yourself.
My significant other and I enjoyed these two wonderful glassfuls of ice cream in our own travel-back-in-time-ness.
